Cable Protection
Introduction
An electrical system is only as reliable as its conductors and Cable Protection Systems provide protection for wire and cables in the most demanding applications: power generation, robotics, food processing, refining, waste water treatment, rail rolling stock, off-shore drilling, mining, wind turbines, off-road vehicles and many more.
TTS provides these main categories of Cable Protection Systems:
Flexible Conduit Systems
– Flexible Conduit systems are designed and tested to withstand constant vibrations, water ingress, offer corrosion resistance.
Rigid Conduit Systems
– Steel Conduit provides the most mechanical protection to the enclosed conductors.
Braided Protection
– A braid is a conducting envelope that encloses a wire or cable and may perform many functions.
Heat Shrinkable Tubing
– Manufactured from stabilised polyolefin, these insulators are used to insulate bare connectors and splices.
Underground Flexible Conduit Systems
– TTS’ Underground Conduit System has a unique double-walled corrugated construction and is manufactured from high-density polyethylene(HDPE).
Above ground HDPE conduit
– Self-extinguishing conduit
Cold Shrinkable tubing
– Cold shrink tubing is an open ended rubber sleeve that has been factory expanded or pre-stretched, and assembled onto a supporting removable plastic core.
